4 Steps to choose the power supply for your laser bird repeller

June 10, 2022 View:

In order to adapt to different applications, automatic laser bird repellers usually have 2 power supply modes to choose from: AC power and solar power. AC power, as the name implies, is directly connected to alternating current power, and the power supply is relatively stable; solar power supply is equipped with solar panels and batteries at the same time when the machine is installed. The battery can be charged by the solar panel when the sun is full, and the machine can be powered by the electricity stored in the battery when the weather is cloudy and rainy. So how to choose between these 2 ways? You can make the best choice according to the following 4 steps:

Step 1. Check your application:

AC Power is more suitable for applications where electricity is available, such as fish farms, orchards, poultry farms, livestock farms, etc. near residential house.

For those places that need to deter birds are located in mountains, forests or airports, which are far away or have no access to mains electricity, solar power can be used.

Step 2. Check your climate:

If an area has more rainfall, cloudy or rainy weather throughout the year, it is more suitable to use AC power. But solar energy is a good choice for areas with sufficient sunshine and long sunshine hours. If the climate is moderate and there is no access to mains electricity, you can increase the usage time in rainy days by using more powerful solar panels and larger capacity batteries.

Step 3. Check your installation location:

If you prefer to use solar power for electricity for the automatic laser bird scarer, you need to consider whether the installation location can receive sunlight. Machines installed on high poles, roofs and other outdoor or open locations can use solar power to obtain electricity, while inside buildings, such as warehouses, parking lots and other areas need to use mains electricity.

Step 4. Check working hours of your machine:

Usually, most users only turn on the automatic laser bird repellent to keep most birds away during the time when birds are frequented, such as early morning and after dusk. If you need the machine to work all day, its energy consumption will be high. If it is not an area with particularly good lighting conditions, then the solar panel may not be able to meet the power supply requirements of the machine. In this case, you need to use AC power as much as possible. .
